《SPY×FAMILY Spy × Family》will release its first Switch game next year

Last year, this anime comedy produced by Wit Studios and Cloverworks gained significant attention on anime popularity charts in Japan and worldwide. According to details from the latest Nintendo Direct presentation (starting at 7:20), the series will now release a Nintendo Switch spin-off game titled "SPYxANYA: Operation Memories." This life simulator allows players to take on the role of Anya Forger, experiencing her student life at home and at Eden Academy. Players need to complete a photo diary, requiring them to finish school activities on weekdays, while weekends are reserved for quality time with Loid, Yor, and Bond. The Direct showcased several different locations the family can visit, including the beach, museum, and aquarium. The game is expected to release sometime next year.

"Spy × Family" was originally a manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. The series was first published in March 2019, introducing readers to a master spy codenamed "Twilight," who abandoned his past life and identity to dedicate himself to protecting his homeland, Westalis. To prevent war with the rival nation called Ostania, Twilight accepts a unique mission: to adopt a daughter who can infiltrate the prestigious Eden Academy and pave the way for Twilight to reach Ostania's elusive prime minister, Donovan Desmond.

Unbeknownst to him, his energetic adopted daughter Anya is actually an esper who can read his every thought. Hoping to solidify his public image as a caring family man, Twilight also marries a woman named Yor, who is actually a professional assassin. While helping Twilight with his mission, the three begin to drop their disguises and form genuine family bonds.
