Hello, fellow anime otakus, how are you? As for me, in this lazy summer of August 2025 where I just want to slack off, I've already started looking for this year's October spiritual nourishment! And then I dug up this treasure anime—"The Gluttonous Noble Lady and the Mad Blood Duke", come on, just the title alone is incredibly appealing, right!
This anime adapted from a light novel and manga is scheduled to premiere in October 2025 . Although it was originally supposed to air in spring, good things take time! To see the best final product, I'm willing to wait!
The story goes like this: our female protagonist, namedMelfiera, is a count's daughter. But this young lady's hobby is super hardcore—she absolutely loves eating monsters! While other noble ladies are worrying about which cake to have for afternoon tea, our Melfi is researching how to cook monsters to perfection. Because of this, she's seen as a weirdo and gets the nickname "Gluttonous Noble Lady"—so intense!
As for the male protagonist, he's called the "Mad Blood Duke,"Alistair Galbraith. Just from the title, you can tell he's no ordinary guy (in a good way)—he's the type who specializes in stylishly slaughtering monsters!
How did these two end up together? At a noble party, Melfi was attacked by a monster and was saved by the Duke who happened to be "harvesting" monsters. When Melfi saw the Duke covered in blood (monster blood) in his heroic stance, she wasn't scared—she was attracted to him! And the Duke also became deeply interested in this strange young lady who wasn't afraid of monsters at all and even seemed to be looking at them like premium ingredients (?).
Oh my goodness! What an amazing setup! One is responsible for killing, the other for eating—this is basically a one-stop production and consumption service for the monster world (?) One is a gourmet, the other is a supplier—if this isn't a match made in heaven, then what is! While other people's romances start with poetry and philosophy, theirs begins with studying monsters—their dating content is so bizarre and interesting!
Anyway, this anime that combines fantasy, romance, and gourmet food (?) elements—I've already got my bowl ready and I'm totally hyped! This contrasting cuteness with a bit of quirky CP combination is totally my thing! I can't wait to see how they fight monsters while sprinkling sweet moments!
