If you feel your life needs a bit of excitement, perhaps it's time for a sweet dose of Russian affection. Although it might sound a bit strange, this is exactly the surprise brought by the light novel "The Neighboring Alya-san Who Sometimes Acts Affectionate in Russian" (abbreviated as Roshidore), originally created by Mr. Sun Sansan and published by KADOKAWA Sneaker Bunko.
The TV anime of this work will begin airing on July 3, 2024 (Wednesday) on 24 TV stations nationwide. The first episode is titled "Miss Alya Who Acts Affectionate in Russian," and the advance scene clips, plot summary, and online trailer have already been released.
The story features Alya (CV: Sumire Uesaka) as the main character, a girl who usually rejects her senpai's confessions without hesitation and is rumored to be a perfect superhuman. However, only at certain moments, towards the lazy Masachika in the seat next to her, does she show a different face than usual.
Alya dozes off in class or uses her forbidden phone during break time to play social games. To such Masachika, she scolds him in Japanese, but occasionally whispers affectionate words in Russian. But, the meaning of that Russian has actually been conveyed to Masachika...!?
Miss Alya thinks he hasn't noticed, but occasionally she has feelings for him. However, even if he understands her meaning, Masachika pretends not to notice. How will their romance develop? It makes you laugh out loud—!?
This is a story full of vivid emotions and fun, perfectly blending everyday life with romantic elements. If you are an audience who enjoys lighthearted, imaginative, and slightly sweet animations, then "The Neighboring Alya-san Who Sometimes Acts Affectionate in Russian" is definitely a work you shouldn't miss.
