Ritsu Kawai

Ritsu Kawai serves as the central heroine of The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior. A second-year student at Kitahigh, she moved into Kawai Complex partly due to her family connection to the landlady Sumiko. A self-proclaimed bookworm, Ritsu habitually retreats into the pages of her novels, projecting an air of indifference that keeps others at arm's length. Beneath her reserved exterior, however, lies a genuinely sensitive and easily-flustered young woman whose walls gradually come down through her everyday interactions with the earnest Usa and the eccentric cast of fellow residents.
