In this world, fairies dwell within animals, bestowing extraordinary abilities upon their hosts. Through a specialized surgical procedure, these animal organs can be transplanted into humans, granting them the power to partially manifest a fairy and wield it as a weapon. Those who underwent this process became known as "Fairy Soldiers," deployed extensively across brutal battlefields. When the long war finally came to an end, these warriors found themselves without purpose, scattered into a society that had moved on without them — some aligned with governments, others with criminal organizations, and some turned to terrorism. The story takes place nine years after the war's conclusion, following Marlya Noel, a newly recruited member of "Dorothea," an agency tasked with investigating and containing fairy-related crimes. Though the fighting has stopped, the postwar world remains fragile — political instability, battle-scarred criminals, and vengeful extremist factions continue to threaten the peace. It is within this turbulent landscape that Fairy Soldiers must navigate their own definitions of justice.
