Set in Tokyo during the 198th year of the Solar Era, Fire Force follows a world where a terrifying phenomenon known as spontaneous human combustion has thrown society into chaos. Ordinary people can suddenly transform into raging flame creatures called Infernals, losing all sense of self in the process. To combat this threat, the government established the Special Fire Force, an organization of skilled fighters—many of whom wield extraordinary pyrokinetic abilities—dedicated to bringing peace to these tormented souls. Among them is Shinra Kusakabe, a young man infamous for his unique power to ignite explosive flames from the soles of his feet, earning him the ominous title of "Devil's Footprints."
