Introduction / Synopsis

Summary

I★CHU: Halfway Through the Idol is a music TV anime adapted from the hit mobile game by I☆CHU PROJECT (Liber Entertainment), bringing its beloved cast of aspiring idols—including Seiya Aido, Noah, and Akira Mitsurugi—to life on screen. Produced by Lay-duce, with director Hidetoshi Namba and series composition by Yoshimi Narita, the series delivers a polished blend of heartfelt drama and electrifying musical performances. Fans of the original game and newcomers alike will find plenty to love in this vibrant celebration of youth, ambition, and the pursuit of stardom.

Plot

Set in a world where aspiring performers chase their dreams of stardom, Étoile Vio School stands as a prestigious academy dedicated to shaping the next generation of idols. Its students, affectionately known as IChu, arrive with unique ambitions and personal stories, each hoping to carve out their own place in the spotlight. However, their journey together gets off to an unexpected and turbulent start almost immediately, thanks to a single offhand remark from the school's principal. As the IChu throw themselves into their activities and push toward their individual goals, a deeper question gradually surfaces among them: just what does it truly mean to be an idol? Caught between the glitter of performance and the weight of self-discovery, these young hopefuls find their youth unfolding in vivid, irreplaceable moments. This is where their story begins.
