Introduction / Synopsis

Summary

Miss KUROITSU from the Monster Development Department is a fantasy comedy TV anime adapted from the manga by Mizusaki Hiroaki, produced by Quad under the direction of Hisashi Saito, with series composition by Katsuhiko Takayama. Follow Touka Kuroitsu, a dedicated researcher navigating the hilariously mundane chaos of a villainous organization's monster development division. Blending workplace comedy with tokusatsu-inspired fantasy, the series delivers laugh-out-loud moments rooted in office politics, impossible deadlines, and outlandish monster designs—a must-watch for fans of lighthearted, genre-bending humor.

Plot

In a world where costumed heroes dedicate themselves to protecting humanity, shadowy villain organizations work just as tirelessly from the other side. Agastya is one such secret society, quietly plotting against the forces of justice from behind the scenes. At the heart of its operations is Touka Kuroitsu, an assistant researcher in Agastya's superhuman research and development division. Far from the glamorous image one might associate with a villainous organization, Kuroitsu's daily reality is a relentless grind of workplace chaos. She juggles unreasonable demands from her superiors, back-to-back presentations, and the constant pressure of developing and fine-tuning superhuman monsters—all while staying within strict deadlines, tight budgets, and rigid spec requirements. Vacation? Barely a concept. This series offers a comedic behind-the-scenes look at what it actually takes to keep a villain organization running, turning the familiar tokusatsu formula on its head with a refreshingly office-life twist.
