Introduction / Synopsis

Summary

Monster Musume: Everyday Life With Monster Girls is a TV comedy fantasy anime adapted from the manga by Okayado. The series follows Kimihito Kurusu as he navigates the hilariously chaotic daily life of living with a cast of charming monster girls—including the passionate lamia Miia, the free-spirited harpy Papi, and the noble centaur Centorea Shianus. Blending ecchi humor, fantasy world-building, and heartfelt romance, the show delivers a uniquely entertaining take on interspecies cohabitation. Produced by Lerche, with direction by Tatsuya Yoshihara and series composition by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, this is a must-watch for fans of fantasy harem comedies looking for something bold and full of personality.

Plot

In a world where mythical creatures are no longer the stuff of legend, harpies soar through city skies, centaurs trot down suburban streets, and lamias coil up on living room sofas. Following the enactment of the "Interspecies Cultural Exchange Act," fantastical beings from humanity's oldest stories have stepped into the real world, doing their best to adapt to modern life alongside their human neighbors. For an ordinary teenage boy named Kimihito Kurusu, this new reality becomes very personal when a mix-up with a government program lands him as an unofficial host family volunteer. Soon, a serpentine lamia girl named Miia moves into his home, and Kurusu finds himself responsible for her daily care and cultural adjustment. Navigating cohabitation with a non-human housemate is challenging enough, but strict laws governing interspecies relations add an extra layer of complication to every moment of their shared daily life.
