Introduction / Synopsis

Summary

My Wife is the Student Council President is a TV anime adapted from the manga by Yumi Nakata, blending comedy, romance, and ecchi into an irresistibly fun school-life experience. The series delivers laugh-out-loud moments wrapped in sweet, blush-worthy romantic tension that keeps viewers hooked episode after episode. Produced by Seven, with direction by Hiroyuki Furukawa and series composition by Makoto Takada, the creative team brings the original manga's playful charm and comedic timing to life with precision. Fans of lighthearted romantic comedies with a bold, cheeky edge will find this series a thoroughly entertaining watch.

Plot

Set in a typical high school, the story follows Hayato Izumi, an ambitious student with his sights set on becoming student body president. His plans take an unexpected turn when a strikingly beautiful and boldly unconventional girl enters the race, captivating the entire school with her outrageous campaign centered around the freedom of love. Outmaneuvered and outvoted, Hayato Izumi finds himself settling for the vice president position instead. But the surprises don't stop there. After a student council meeting, the newly elected president, Ui Wakana, shows up at his home with a revelation that turns his world upside down: their parents, under rather questionable circumstances years ago, apparently made a binding promise that the two of them would one day marry. Now Hayato Izumi must navigate student council duties alongside this unexpected domestic arrangement. A lively romantic comedy about youth, family ties, and the chaos that comes when childhood promises collide with teenage life.
