花弁を散らす者達
Touya Senji, a high school student raised in the shadow of his brilliant older brother, harbors a deep inferiority complex over his own lack of talent. Amidst rumors of a serial killer, he encounters a transfer student named Haito Le Buffett. Haito is a "Returner," someone who has awakened a talent from a previous life using a "Branch of Reincarnation" by slitting their own throat. However, the Branch is a double-edged sword that revives not only the talents of greats but also those of sinners. After witnessing a battle between Haito and the crazed serial killer Albert H. Fish, Touya's thirst for talent leads him to reach for that forbidden power himself. Burdened by inferiority and jealousy, the boy steps into a dangerous destiny to make his own talent bloom.
持つ者としての在り方
Touya, having awakened his talent, is assigned his first job by John V. Neumann, the commander of the Forest of Great Men: "Exclusion of the evil Returner, John W. Gacy." He heads to school to pick up Haito. Accompanied by Haito, who was sleeping surrounded by practice equipment in the gym, he enters the forest where Gacy is hiding. Although the plan was for Touya to gain experience by defeating Gacy—a murderer known as the "Killer Clown"—Haito accidentally finishes him off with a single blow. Nevertheless, the mission is successfully completed. However, they end up being pursued by a mysterious group in black combat uniforms who had been tracking Gacy and secretly observing the battle...
開戦
After confronting a mysterious black mist resembling double pupils, I. Newton and Hiroshi Funasaka return to the Forest of Greats to seek information from John V. Neumann. While discussing with Touya, Haito, and other members of the Forest of Greats, P. Picasso draws a painting that seems to manifest the mysterious black mist he shouldn't have seen. Upon seeing the painting, Neumann and Albert Einstein recall past events and are unable to react properly. Suddenly, the monitor is dyed with the pattern of double pupils, and a cheerful male voice begins to speak to Neumann, Einstein, and Picasso, as if meeting old friends. His true identity is the strongest Reincarnator with the talent of the pinnacle of martial arts and one of the initial members of the Forest of Greats, Kousen-u...
全知と腐敗
Hiroshi Funasaka suspected Touya Senji of being a spy and held him at gunpoint, but lowered his weapon with the words, "I believe in you." Moved by Funasaka's direct gaze and statement that he "doesn't want to doubt someone who protected him twice," Touya begins to reveal his past and objectives. After hearing his story and accepting Touya's humanity, Funasaka decides to support him, and the two step into battle once again. As battles between the Reincarnators of the Forest of Great Men and the Sinner's Army erupt in various locations, Touya and Funasaka arrive at the branch castle of "Earth." Soon after, a large explosion occurs, and from the dust emerges the "Phoenix," Hans Rudel. Funasaka with "Indestructible Immortality" and Rudel with "Invariable Immortality." A deathmatch between two individuals who both possess the talent of immortality begins...
さようなら、耳を傾けてくれた人
Hiroshi Funasaka, who became a Returner, was gradually losing the sensation of being human as he gained his talent. After joining the Forest of Great Men and being assigned to various battlefields by the commander John V. Neumann, he felt no dissatisfaction with ravaging the frontlines as a soldier, yet he felt boredom and a mysterious discomfort. However, he felt a surge of excitement during his battle with Hans Rudel of the Army of Sinners. Through a dialogue between two immortals, Funasaka realized that his true desire was a "serious fight where both sides wear each other down," and felt the magnitude of what he had lost by gaining talent through the Branch of Reincarnation. Not for anyone else, but for themselves, and viewing each other's death as their ultimate wish, Funasaka and Rudel begin their deathmatch once again to settle the score.

After receiving a talent from Hiroshi Funasaka, Touya Senji arrives at the Castle of Double Pupils alone. Waiting at the castle are Kou Sennu, the leader of the Sinner Army, along with M. Dalmon and M. Nostradamus. To collect the talent of Kou Sennu, who is considered the strongest in history, Touya challenges him to a fight. Touya is overwhelmed as if being toyed with, and despite his talent's essence being seen through, he begins to feel confused by the complete lack of hostility from Kou Sennu. While looking for a breakthrough and watching Kouu's every move, Touya is informed by Kou Sennu that his older brother, Saiya Senji, was a founding member of the "Forest of Great Men" and the only Returner who was not inferior to the world's greatest Returner, Kou Sennu. Touya hears about a side of his brother he never knew...
咲き廻るリィンカーネーション
Gaius Julius Caesar, a spy who had infiltrated the "Forest of Greats" and the strongest Returner among the Five Tiger Generals, arrives at the Double-Pupiled Castle alongside Haito, who has undergone a sudden transformation. Confronted by Haito, Touya Senji is horrified by her altered appearance and loss of reason. To restore Haito, who has become the "wretched end of one who would discard anything to grow stronger," Kouu instructs M. Darmont to hide with Touya while ordering M. Nostradamus and Caesar to buy time. Although they use Nostradamus's talent to predict Haito's attacks and rewrite the future to evade them, even Caesar's combat prowess is only enough to reach a stalemate. In the midst of this struggle, an "inevitable future that cannot be rewritten" finally emerges in Nostradamus's book of prophecy.
