Star Detective Precure! marks the 23rd entry in the beloved long-running Precure franchise. The story centers on Anna Akechi, a second-year junior high student growing up in Makoto Mirai Town. On the day she turns 14, an unexpected meeting with a mysterious fairy named Pochitan sets off a chain of extraordinary events — a magical pendant sweeps her away through time, transporting her from the year 2027 all the way back to 1999. Arriving in a Makoto Mirai Town from 28 years in the past, Anna crosses paths with Mikuru Kobayashi, a girl her own age whose greatest dream is to one day become a legendary detective. The town, however, is far from peaceful — a band of Phantom Thieves has been brazenly stealing the most treasured belongings of the townspeople. Faced with this threat, Anna and Mikuru awaken as Precures and take a stand against the mysterious thieves. As they tackle each case together, Anna wonders whether solving these mysteries might also hold the key to finding her way home.
