The Elusive Samurai Season 2 unfolds in 14th-century Japan, a land shaken to its core by the collapse of the Kamakura shogunate—a warrior government brought down by the treachery of its once-trusted retainer, Takauji Ashikaga. Left with nothing, the young rightful heir Tokiyuki Houjou managed to flee the burning capital with the aid of Yorishige Suwa, a Shinano priest who claims to be a living god.
