WONDANCE is a modern shounen drama series blending the intensity of sports competition with the passion of music and art. Produced by the acclaimed studio MADHOUSE, with Michiya Kato serving as both director and series composition, the anime is adapted from the manga by Koohii. Wandance follows Kaboku Kotani, a high school freshman who has spent most of his life trying to blend into the background. Living with a stutter, he finds it far easier to stay quiet and move through the crowd unnoticed than to risk the spotlight. His carefully guarded routine is disrupted, however, when he stumbles upon a fellow first-year named Hikari Wanda—dancing with an uninhibited energy that seems completely indifferent to anyone watching. Something about her absolute freedom of movement stirs a longing deep within Kaboku that he can't quite shake. Driven by a feeling he struggles to name, he takes the most unexpected leap of his life and signs up for the school's dance club. For a boy who has always chosen invisibility, a single step onto the dance floor could change everything.
