Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2 will release the latest TV anime trailer in October 2024!

Season 2 "Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online II" (English: Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online), abbreviated as "SAOAGGO", will release its latest TV anime trailer in October 2024! This work is a spin-off novel of the "Sword Art Online" series written by Keiichi Sigsawa, with illustrations by Kouhaku Kuroboshi. The original "Sword Art Online" author Reki Kawahara serves as supervisor. The novels have been published by Dengeki Bunko since late 2014, with traditional Chinese versions released by Taiwan Kadokawa and simplified Chinese versions by Tencent Kadokawa. The story is set in the online game "Gun Gale Online" from the Phantom Bullet arc of "Sword Art Online".

In October 2017, at "Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2017", it was officially announced that this work would be adapted into a TV anime, which began airing in April 2018. In July 2023, the second season was announced, making fans very excited.

 

The story's protagonist is a female player named "Llenn" who freely plays in the world of guns and steel, "Gun Gale Online". Llenn has a special fondness for cute things, and all her equipment is unified in pink. Through continuous training and growth, Llenn gradually accumulates considerable strength. By chance, she discovers the thrill of hunting other players, becomes addicted to PK, and thus earns the nickname "Pink Devil".

In the game, Llenn meets the beautiful and mysterious player "Pitohui", and the two quickly become friends. Following Pitohui's suggestion, Llenn forms a team with the sniper M and participates in the team battle event "Squad Jam" (SJ). Although Llenn originally had no intention of joining SJ2, at her friend Goushi's earnest request, in order to defeat Pitohui (both belonging to team PM4), she teams up with her real-life friend Shinohara Miyu (in-game nickname Fukaziroh) to form team LF and enter the competition.
