In the vast world of "BanG Dream!", every character captivates fans with their unique charm. Among the many shining girls, the drummer and composer of the MyGO!!!!! band—Shiina Rikki—is undoubtedly one of the most memorable. Today, August 9th, is the birthday of this girl with a冷酷 exterior and炽热 heart. Let's take this opportunity to delve into the growth轨迹 and inner world of this fascinating character, from her past experiences in CRYCHIC to the process of finding her place in MyGO!!!!!.

First impression: Lone wolf or guardian? A character sketch of Shiina Rikki
Shiina Rikki, a first-year high school student at Hanasakigawa Girls' Academy, is known for the tear mole under her left eye and her calm, independent demeanor. On the surface, she is a "lone wolf" who prefers solitude and speaks bluntly, even sharply. However, beneath this冷漠 exterior lies a heart that deeply values伙伴, is gentle and执着, especially towards the lead singer Takamatsu Tomori, whom Rikki never hesitates to protect and support.
She works part-time at the live house "RiNG." Although she is not good at接待 customers, she has immense passion and talent for music. She started接触 DTM (desktop music) in middle school, which also laid the foundation for her future role as a key composer in the band.
The starting point of being lost: The shattering of CRYCHIC and self-doubt
Rikki's band journey began in middle school when she was invited by Toyogawa Saki to become the drummer of CRYCHIC. Initially, she was skeptical of the lead singer Takamatsu Tomori's ability, but after the first live performance succeeded, she was completely captivated by Tomori's singing,从此 becoming Tomori's most steadfast supporter. However, the time with CRYCHIC was short-lived; due to conflicts among members and Saki's departure, the band eventually disbanded, leaving deep scars in Rikki's heart and lingering resentment towards Saki.
This experience also deepened Rikki's sense of inferiority. She has an older sister who is four years her senior and excels in every aspect. The pressure of living long under her sister's光环, coupled with witnessing Saki's outstanding作曲 ability, often made Rikki fall into self-doubt, believing she was not good enough.
The reborn movement: Finding "a lifetime's归宿" in MyGO!!!!!
After CRYCHIC disbanded, Rikki did not give up on music. Her reunion with Tomori and the appearance of Chihaya Anon became the catalyst for the birth of MyGO!!!!!. Although the band was full of conflicts and clashes in its early days—Rikki clashed with Anon due to her overprotectiveness of Tomori, and had a dispute with Nagasaki Soyo over the "Haru no Kage" incident—it was precisely these磨合 that allowed them to gradually understand each other and become a true community.
In MyGO!!!!!, Rikki is not only the pillar of rhythm but also the soul of the music. She can accurately capture the worldview in Tomori's lyrics and create fitting compositions. Although she is strict with the band members and sharp-tongued, all of this stems from her hope that the band can go further. After experiencing confusion, arguments, and reconciliation, Rikki ultimately found confidence and happiness in MyGO!!!!!, making this band the place where she is willing to declare "even a lifetime is fine" (一生でもいい).
The other side off stage: Pandas, almond tofu, and "What about me?"
Away from the spotlight on stage, Rikki has many adorable contrasting charms in private. She is a super "panda lover"—not only are her phone wallpaper and social media profile pictures pandas, but she has also spent all her part-time salary on buying panda plushies. Her favorite food is almond tofu, while her disliked foods are shiitake mushrooms and konjac noodles, reportedly related to her childhood experience of having her name made fun of.
In the anime, Rikki's almost meticulous care for Tomori, as well as the unintentional jealousy she shows when Tomori interacts with others, has made her one of the representative characters that fans call "persecuted." Her famous line, "What about me? (私は?)" has become widely circulated, serving as a classic annotation of her complex emotions.
