Akira Takahashi

Akira Takahashi serves as the part-time school physician at Hyakki Academy while simultaneously overseeing a network of yokai medical facilities across the country. As a member of the Hyakume clan with roughly 150 years of life behind him, he presents a gentle and highly skilled medical practitioner whom those around him have come to deeply trust. Beneath that composed exterior, however, lies an almost frenzied obsession with the unexplained, and his conduct can at times unsettle those who witness it. Even so, he never loses his compassionate core, having long taken in and cared for yokai orphans such as Kuniko Utagawa.
