Arata Miyako is a fresh-faced government employee working in the 'Nocturnal Community Affairs Division' of Shinjuku Ward Office—a department dedicated to handling supernatural incidents. Blessed with the rare gift of 'Sand Ears,' he can listen to and understand the voices of beings beyond the human realm. As a descendant of the celebrated onmyoji Abe no Seimei, he frequently finds himself mistaken for his legendary ancestor by youkai and other otherworldly entities. Rather than resorting to confrontation, Arata consistently chooses empathy and open communication, quietly serving as a bridge of mutual understanding between the human world and the supernatural.
