Atsuhiro Maeda

Often affectionately called "Wien" (Vienna) by his peers due to his long-term residency in Austria, he initially finds himself completely out of touch with Japanese culture. Because he stubbornly follows an outrageously incorrect guidebook on Japanese etiquette, he frequently creates humorous situations, such as performing a full prostration (dogeza) just to say hello to his new classmates. Behind his eccentric actions, however, lies a profoundly earnest and sincere boy. Fueled by a deep obsession with Super Sentai hero shows from his childhood, he harbors a strong sense of justice and never hesitates to stand up for his friends when they are in trouble. As he forms a close bond with Taichi Tanaka and the rest of the club, he gradually finds his place in his new school environment, sharing in their bittersweet journey of youth.
