Atsuka Adachi

Atsuka Adachi is the mother of protagonist Sakura Adachi. While she shares a striking physical resemblance with her daughter, their personalities could hardly be more different. Atsuka is socially confident and never hesitates to speak her mind; yet, much like Sakura, she struggles deeply with expressing tender emotions, a shared trait that has kept the mother-daughter bond distant and strained for years. After a chance encounter with Shimamura at a gym, followed by a candid conversation in the sauna, Atsuka begins to recognize the emotional wall between herself and her daughter, and makes clumsy but sincere efforts to bridge the gap.
