Atsushi Shimao is the late husband of Rikka, the owner of a small flower shop, who passed away three years ago and has since lingered in the mortal world as a ghost. Visible only to the male protagonist Hazuki, Shimao frequently interferes with Hazuki's attempts to court his beloved wife, driven by an intense sense of attachment and possessiveness. Having spent much of his childhood hospitalized, he developed a cool, philosophical demeanor—yet when it comes to protecting Rikka, that composure gives way to an unyielding and almost stubborn devotion.
