Once celebrated as the 'Wise King' and revered as a legendary hero, his life took a dark turn after the murder of his loved ones at the hands of demi-humans, fueling an intense hatred toward the Shield Hero and driving him to repeatedly scheme against Naofumi in the early chapters of the story. Stripped of his royal title and forced to bear the degrading name 'Trash,' he eventually faced the devastating loss of his wife alongside a kingdom in crisis. Rising from the depths of disgrace in the later story, he reclaimed the calm wisdom he once wielded as the Staff Hero, ultimately becoming Naofumi's most dependable strategic ally against the Waves.
