Barbatos

Among all those in Sagan's orbit, Barbatos stands alone as his one true—if thoroughly reluctant—companion. Armed with the magical prowess to genuinely challenge for the Demon Lord's throne, he carries himself with a caustic arrogance, self-identifying as a creature of evil and once regarding Sagan as a rival to be surpassed. A decisive defeat, however, rewrote that dynamic entirely, transforming him into Sagan's most dependable ally. Years of suppressing sleep through sorcery have left permanent dark circles beneath his eyes. He complains endlessly, yet never fails to appear at critical moments—and has even taken on the responsibility of serving as the personal guardian of the holy knight Chastiefol.
