On a rainy day, Hanatori Kakeru stumbled upon this homeless little dog and couldn't bring himself to walk away. Unable to keep a pet due to his family's circumstances, he arranged for the pup to stay with the Tsukimiya family. True to his chuunibyou nature, Kakeru bestowed upon the dog the grandiose name "Cerberus"—after the mythological guardian of the underworld—and even fitted him with a matching eye patch, declaring him a fated warrior companion from a previous life. Gentle, intuitive, and remarkably cooperative with his owner's elaborate fantasies, Cerberus has become one of the most endearing and therapeutic mascot characters in the series.
