Chika Komari

Chika Komari is a first-year student at Tsuwabuki High School and the vice president of the Literature Club. She struggles with a severe case of social anxiety, making communication with others an immense challenge—even holding a smooth conversation proves difficult for her. She harbors a secret crush on the club's former president, Shintaro Tamaki, and stands out as the only character in the story who genuinely summons the courage to confess her feelings, only to face heartbreak—earning her place as a true 'losing heroine.' Despite her self-conscious nature and petite stature, she reveals a surprisingly resilient and tenacious side whenever she engages with her beloved literary pursuits or fulfills her responsibilities within the club.
