Chiya is a 15-year-old girl who spent her formative years deep in the mountains alongside wild animals, developing extraordinary athleticism and an almost supernatural intuition as a result. Driven by the desire to uncover the whereabouts of her long-lost mother, she journeys to the enigmatic Meiro-machi and begins her training as an apprentice Urara at the fortune-telling shop 'Natsume-ya.' Her upbringing, however, left her with a striking lack of social awareness—most notably her habit of baring her midriff as a sincere gesture of apology. Yet beneath her unconventional ways lies an endlessly bright and optimistic spirit that remains unshaken even in the face of hardship.
