Evan Gyoam

Evan is a young miller living near the outskirts of Tereo village. Worn down by the longstanding prejudice and suspicion villagers hold toward millers—accusing them of stealing grain—he harbors a deep longing for the world beyond his home and greatly admires the traveling merchant Lawrence's way of life. Straightforward and easy to get along with, he shares a good relationship with the acting priest Elsa, and plays a meaningful supporting role during Lawrence's visit to the area.
