Fumio Matsubara

Fumio Matsubara is a 57-year-old ironworks operator whose factory fell into financial crisis amid economic hardship, leaving him buried in substantial debt. Driven by the need to repay what he owes, he entered the LIAR GAME tournament. During the second round's 'Minority Rule' game, he became one of the cooperative team members assembled by Nao Kanzaki. As an unassuming and straightforward craftsman, he represents the ordinary people from lower social strata who are dragged into a brutal psychological competition by the pressures of everyday survival.
