Gorou Ono

Gorou is an ordinary high school freshman with no particular goals or drive in life. Everything changed when a mysterious text message forcibly dragged him into a brutal survival competition known as the 'Divine Selection.' His special ability, 'Fool's Scripture,' grants him the power to manipulate the laws of cause and effect—yet every use demands that he personally bear an equal measure of misfortune in return. Though once entirely indifferent to the world around him, repeated encounters with violence gradually awakened within him a fierce will to protect his companions, ultimately leading him to choose self-erasure as the means to rewrite everyone's tragic fate.
