Hanabishi

Stepping into the role of homeroom teacher after her predecessor's violent death, this 32-year-old educator attempts to lift the class's spirits by donning a pink cat-ear outfit and speaking in an exaggerated, theatrical tone. Beneath her bubbly exterior, however, lies a deeply wounded psyche—self-harm scars mark her wrists, and the trauma of witnessing her predecessor's gruesome remains ultimately forced her to take a leave of absence. Her character draws inspiration from Hanabishi Ranko in Edogawa Ranpo's work "The Dark Room."
