Hanzou

Hanzou is the younger brother of the protagonist Chiyo. As a fellow ninja, he has been ordered by their village to hunt down his sister, who has turned rogue. Despite undergoing rigorous training deep in the mountains and approaching his mission with an unwavering, do-or-die resolve, he is instantly defeated by the far superior Chiyo every time he appears to challenge her. He is frequently dragged into the absurd chaos triggered by the girls' secrets, making him a supporting character whose predicament is hard not to pity.
