Hatori hails from the Tengu clan of Shumonzan and currently serves as the head steward of Orioya. Beneath his easygoing and seemingly frivolous exterior lies an exceptionally perceptive and highly capable individual who once held the position of head steward at Tenjiniya. A family dispute led to his father disowning him, but the rift was ultimately mended through the food prepared by Aoi, allowing him to reconcile with his family. He also shares a longstanding friendship with the master of Orioya as a fellow Go companion.
