Hayato Kirishima

Hayato Kirishima is a first-year high school student who recently transferred from the rural town of Tsukinose to a city high school. During his childhood, he spent his days running around with his childhood friend, Haruki Nikaido, whom he firmly believed to be a boy due to her rough-and-tumble tomboyish appearance; they made a promise to always stay friends before she moved away. Seven years later, family circumstances bring Hayato to the city, where he reunites with Haruki at his new school, shocked to discover that his former 'male' buddy has transformed into the school's elegant, untouchable beauty. Domestically, Hayato is highly caring and responsible, cooking dinner for his younger sister Himeko every day, and his friendly nature easily wins people over at school, such as when he offers gardening advice to a classmate. Following their reunion, he quickly develops feelings for Haruki and tends to get slightly jealous when other boys try to flirt with her.
