Hazuki Katou

Hazuki Katou is a key supporting character in 'Sound! Euphonium,' entering Kitauji High School as a first-year student. Having spent her middle school years as a tennis club member, she joins the concert band as a complete beginner, driven purely by a newfound passion for music. Though she originally set her sights on the trumpet, a twist of fate lands her with the hefty tuba instead. As the cheerful best friend of protagonist Kumiko Oumae, Hazuki brings infectious energy and a can-do spirit to the group. Despite facing repeated setbacks on her musical journey, her resilience and sunny disposition make her an indispensable source of encouragement for everyone around her.
