Hitaki Kuze

Hitaki Kuze is the young heir of the once-prestigious but now declining Kuze noble family. Having lost his mother at an early age, he was raised with tender devotion by his elder sister Tsugumi, upon whom he came to rely deeply. A quiet and introspective boy, Hitaki finds solace in literature and holds a particular admiration for the works of author Teishi Tsuru. When faced with the painful reality of his family's downfall and his sister's forced engagement for political gain, his suppressed anguish attracts the malevolent influence of a supernatural entity known as a 'Rare Thing' (稀モノ), pushing him toward a desperate act of self-immolation. This pivotal moment serves as the catalyst that awakens Tsugumi's hidden abilities and draws her into the mysterious investigative organization known as 'Konoha.'
