Hotaru no Chichi

Hotaru's father is a soft-spoken, bespectacled salaryman who serves as the quiet backbone of the Ichijō family in the Non Non Biyori series. A corporate transfer uprooted him and his family from the bustling streets of Tokyo, bringing them to the sleepy countryside of Asahigaoka—an event that sets the entire story in motion for his daughter Hotaru. Throughout most of the series, he appears only briefly and in the background, rarely taking center stage. However, Season 3, Nonstop, offers a warmer glimpse into his relationship with Hotaru, revealing that she—despite projecting a composed and mature image among her peers—freely shows her playful, childlike side around her father, making him one of the few characters who sees the real her.
