Houou

As one of the Four Sacred Beasts protecting the Kusunoki residence, Houou spends its days residing in a stone lantern within the garden, taking the form of an adorable baby bird. It serves as a teacher among birds, even guiding warblers in the art of singing. While Houou retains the ability to manifest its true divine and majestic form, doing so demands an enormous toll on its stamina, leaving it no choice but to fall into a deep slumber each time its true appearance is revealed.
