Izumi Sano is a talented athlete who was once a highly anticipated high jump star in middle school but stopped competing due to an injury. When the protagonist, Mizuki Ashiya, transfers to the all-boys boarding school Ohsaka Academy to meet him, they end up sharing a room in Dorm 2. Early on, Sano accidentally discovers Mizuki's true gender. Without revealing that he knows her secret, he quietly watches over her and protects her from being exposed to the rest of the school. Although Sano initially appears cold, blunt, and unapproachable, he possesses a deeply caring and responsible nature, and under Mizuki's energetic influence, he finds the motivation to face his past and return to the high jump.
