Julius Roias

At the beginning of the story, Julius proposes to Elsa Jukarainen, the daughter of an impoverished noble family. However, on their wedding day, his gentle and polite demeanor shifts completely, and he coldly declares to her, "I have absolutely no intention of ever loving you," proposing a marriage of convenience. Having grown up in a cold home environment and carrying a sad past, Julius has closed off his heart, keeping others at a distance. Yet, in the face of Elsa's positive, cheerful attitude as she happily embraces her new life with her sewing and vegetable gardening despite his rejection, Julius's frozen heart gradually begins to melt. As they spend time together, his reserved nature gives way, and he inevitably falls deeply in love, showing his wife overwhelming adoration and doting care.
