Kako Kurai

Kako Kurai shares the same classroom as protagonist Hachi Ichiri and holds a position on the school's disciplinary committee, enforcing rules and dress codes with unwavering strictness. Having experienced painful social setbacks in the past, she adopted a personal philosophy of avoiding friendships in order to grow stronger on her own. Initially dismissing Hachi's attempts to connect with cold indifference, Kako gradually underwent a change of heart upon witnessing her classmate's sincere and persistent efforts. She came to regard Hachi as a "rival in mutual growth," and through this evolving dynamic, she forged genuine and lasting bonds with those around her.
