Kazuho Miyauchi

At 24 years old, Kazuho Miyauchi holds the distinction of being the one and only teacher at Asahigaoka Branch School, while also serving as the eldest daughter of the Miyauchi household. Her passion for napping far outweighs any enthusiasm for lesson planning—she routinely instructs students to study independently before dozing off at her desk mid-class. On more than a few occasions, her deep slumber has caused the entire morning session to slip by as unsupervised self-study. Despite her questionable reliability as an educator, she remains an indispensable guardian figure whenever the children venture out or navigate the rhythms of daily rural life.
