Kimichika Haijima

Kimichika Haijima spent his kindergarten years in Fukui before moving to Tokyo, where he honed his exceptional volleyball skills at a powerhouse middle school. However, his unrelenting obsession with the sport led to a severe conflict with his teammates, causing him to become truant and eventually relocate back to his mother's hometown in Fukui. There, he reconnects with his childhood friend Yuni Kuroba, and they both eventually enroll in Seiin High School to join the boys' volleyball club. Known as an absolute "volleyball idiot" who thinks about nothing else, Kimichika struggles significantly with reading the room, which often leads to interpersonal friction due to his blunt communication style. Despite his social shortcomings, his overwhelming talent as a genius setter and his pure passion for the game become the driving force that pushes his newly formed, underdog team toward the national tournament.
