As the owner of Urahara Shop and a former captain of Squad 12 as well as the inaugural head of the Technological Development Bureau, he emerged as an indispensable strategic mind on the Shinigami side during the Thousand-Year Blood War arc. He developed the 'Reigai Drug' capable of reclaiming stolen Bankai, ventured into Hueco Mundo to provide backup for Ichigo and the others, and ultimately proved to be the pivotal figure who shifted the tide of battle through his extraordinary intellect and unfathomable scheming.
