Kitakata is the proprietor of 'North Wind' in Shinjuku's Kabukicho. He and the protagonist Sasagura Ryu once trained together at 'Bar Kaze,' making him a senior figure whom Sasagura deeply respects. Carrying the rugged spirit of a Showa-era bartender, he presents a rough-edged appearance and a sharp tongue, yet beneath that hardened surface lies a profound sense of responsibility and quiet tenderness. He regards his bar as a 'field hospital' for wounded souls, and through his masterful technique and unwavering dedication to his craft, he silently watches over every aching heart that steps through his door.
