Kouichirou Marito

Kouichirou Marito is a seasoned captain serving in the Earth United Forces, and one of the few survivors of the catastrophic 'Tanegashima Incident' that occurred fifteen years prior. The trauma from that harrowing event left him haunted by PTSD and driven to alcohol as a means of coping with his inner turmoil. However, in the second season, he musters the courage to undergo psychological therapy, gradually dismantling the mental barriers that have long held him back. Returning to the cockpit as a squad commander, he draws upon his extensive combat experience to shield those under his command, ultimately proving himself as the dependable, duty-bound soldier he was always meant to be.
