Machi Amayadori

Machi Amayadori is a 14-year-old shrine maiden serving at Kumade Shrine, nestled deep in a rural mountain village in the Tohoku region. Highly revered by the local community, she secretly harbors an intense longing for urban life and dreams of attending high school in the city. However, her debilitating social anxiety and complete unfamiliarity with modern technology have earned strong opposition from Natsu, her bear guardian. To turn her dream into reality, Machi must overcome a series of "urbanization trials" devised by Natsu—a journey packed with hilarious mishaps and heartfelt moments of growth.
