Mao

Mao is an onmyoji who has existed for over nine centuries, rendered immortal and ageless by a curse tied to the most powerful gu poison known as 'Byakko.' Operating a clinic during the Taisho era, he dedicates himself to resolving supernatural incidents while covertly pursuing the entity Byakko in hopes of lifting the curse that binds him. After a chance encounter with Nanoka, a young girl who bears her own curse, the two join forces to uncover the truth behind a tragedy that befell the Mikudari household in the Heian period and to unravel the mysteries surrounding their intertwined fates.
