March is a five-year-old girl hailing from the Ninanna tribe, whose greatest wish was simply to grow up and become a mother someday. Fate, however, cast her as a sacrificial offering to the fearsome mountain spirit known as the Bear God. During her desperate escape, she crossed paths with the enigmatic immortal Fushi, and in nurturing him—teaching him to eat, to speak, and to understand human connection—she became the very first mother figure in his existence. Her innocence and willingness to give without asking in return planted the seeds of self-awareness and empathy within Fushi, shaping the foundation of his humanity.
