Maris Edvan

Maris Edvan is a daughter from a branch family of the Edvan household and the cousin of the protagonist, Elma. During the Divine Blessing Ceremony, she awakened the extremely powerful "Sword Saint" class—a long-cherished class within the lineage. As a result, she was adopted into the main family and appointed as the official successor, replacing Elma who was exiled for obtaining the "defective" Heavy Knight class. While she presents herself outwardly as an elegant, refined noble young lady, Maris harbors a deeply twisted psyche that derives pleasure from ruining the things she treasures or loves with her own hands. She possesses an intense, obsessive interest in Elma, viewing her adoptive father and the Edvan household merely as tools to catch Elma's attention as she plots to slowly push him into a corner.
