Michishio

In the game, Michishio is initially portrayed as a classic "tsundere" with a cynical and sharp tongue. When first introduced, she frequently appears cranky, complains about her fleet assignment, and uses abrasive remarks to mask her true feelings. However, this defensive and somewhat pessimistic demeanor actually stems from deep-seated trauma and survivor guilt. Historically, she was forced to stay behind for repairs while her sister ships sank one by one, ultimately meeting her own tragic end during the brutal Battle of Surigao Strait. This tragic past makes her highly insecure, prone to self-loathing, and terrified of losing her friends again. Despite her tough exterior, Michishio is fiercely loyal and deeply cares for her sisters in the 8th Destroyer Division. As she receives her "Kai Ni" (Second Remodel) and her relationship with the Admiral deepens, she undergoes significant character development. She leaves her past traumas behind to become a more honest, cheerful, and confident girl who proudly leads her comrades into battle.
